We are committed to ensuring that students have the core skills to develop a Love of Learning and Love of Life. We strive to empower our students to compete for the very best education placements and employment opportunities available and believe that reading is the central foundation for this. We know that enabling students to read fluently will contribute towards a culture of truth and justice whereby students can flourish now and going forward into the wider community. We believe that all young people of Blessed William Howard should be word rich, language rich, through our reading provision we can help to achieve this.

The library at Blessed William Howard is a versatile space, not just for reading and browsing but for teaching, meetings and clubs. We pride ourselves on promoting a love of reading and have a wide selection of books suitable for all age ranges. We also have several 'Book Stops' around school, where students can take a book and then return it when they have finished reading.
