Parent Council
The parent council aims to further develop how we engage with parents and carers. Meeting four times over the course of the academic year, the council aims to move our school forward in partnership together.
The remit of the Parent Council is to:
- provide additional clear channels of communication so that the school and parents can respond to emerging issues and concerns
- review and provide feedback on relevant policies
- be instrumental in organising and promoting parent information sessions e.g. Drug Awareness Information Evening, Information, Advice and Guidance Information Evening
- contribute to questionnaires and surveys
- contribute to the school newsletter
- meet with Heads of Department and discuss the curriculum
- support school initiatives
- support the development of parent involvement in learning and parent volunteer opportunities
ensure views of disabled parents and those with additional language needs are presented
