Students Celebrate Results!

Blessed William Howard is celebrating another fantastic set of A – Level results.

The average grade achieved by all students across three A levels was a B-, which is a remarkable achievement and the highest grade in many years. Other noteworthy results include the fact that 10% of students achieved A* grades (well above the national average), 22% A*/A and 44% A*/B. We are particularly delighted that students, on average, achieved their target grades across all of their subjects. It is difficult to pick out individual subjects but results are especially favourable in Religious Education, English Literature, Further Maths, History, Geography, Physics and Music. The school is delighted that all subjects have performed brilliantly.

Some of the top performers include:

Daniella Horton who achieved 4 A* and is going on to study Biochemistry at the University of Warwick; Craig Kerr and Cameron Webley who achieved between them a total of 4A*, 5A and a grade B - they are going on to study Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science also at the University of Birmingham; Emily Murray with 2A* and 3A grades who is going on to study Mathematics at the University of Nottingham; Sophie Meddings 3A grades and will study Primary Education at Liverpool Hope University.

Mr Karl Brown, Principal, stated, “We are delighted with the fantastic results achieved by our students. I would like to congratulate the students on their magnificent achievements and thank the staff for their true dedication and commitment, which has enabled the students to achieve their true potential. Success runs throughout the academic and vocational routes with all students able to reach their next steps. We wish them all the very best of luck in the future. Anyone interested in joining our Sixth Form should contact Mrs Deakin on 01785 244236 ext 204.”
