Objective: To understand how to make appropriate decisions for Key Stage 4 in relation to post-16 and post-18 options.

To be prepared to make the right personal choices of subjects at GCSE. To continue to learn employability skills in relation to the workplace. To gain an understanding of what ‘hard’ and ‘soft’ skills are. To explore a range of STEM careers from different employment sectors. To describe and explain how stereotypes have been challenged. To have exposure to a wide range of meaningful encounters with employers and employees to ensure accurate LMI (labour market information) to help students to make informed decision on qualification routes and options. |

Objective: To develop knowledge, skills and understanding of the workplace and prepare for their work experience placement, either virtually or face-to-face. |
Outcomes:

To understand how to write effective applications. To gain an understanding of the local labour market in relation to careers. To learn about different post-16 career pathways, including T levels and Apprenticeships, local training providers and local Colleges. To practice interview techniques in advance of work experience interviews. To plan forward, and subsequently, reflect on the learning experience during a work placement, whether this is virtual or face-to-face. |
